Photojournalism teaches you how to "find the picture" and then tell the story with those pictures. My editors at UPI and AP used to say you had to "anticipate the moment" so you could see it and shoot it! My photojournalism career started before digital cameras so, with all the processing and darkroom time, you needed to be an efficient photographer and story teller or your photos wouldn't be in the paper the next day. The mechanical processes are different today, but the ability to anticipate key moments is still of paramount importance no matter the project or the client.
